We’re looking for a qualified Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a permanent basis .
As part of the Controllership team the role is responsible for the preparation, review, and management of the month and year end reporting and compliance for all our legal entities (including the consolidation).
About the job
Responsible for the month end and year end reporting close process (Adherence to the monthly and yearly checklists and processes) ensuring timely completion and accuracy. This will involve working closely with other finance functions including AP, AR, Revenue etc. as well as FP&A and our external partners.
Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, processes and procedures for all periods.
Responsible for the accurate accounting, journal entries and reconciliations relating to prepayments, financial assets, accruals and taxes (E.g. CT, Payroll etc.) for each assigned legal entity for each close.
Responsible for the accurate accounting, journal entries and reconciliations relating to payroll for each assigned legal entity for each close. This will involve working closely with HR (E.g. Benefits), Sales Operations (E.g. Commissions) and our payroll partner (E.g. Compliance, analysis & reporting).
Manage intercompany related transactions (Transfer pricing, payments, invoicing, charges etc.), accounting and month end reconciliations (Ensuring all balances agree and net within the group wide matrix)
Responsible for the maintenance & adherence of the wider finance team and business to the group chart of accounts across the P&L and balance sheet.
Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, leadership/board reporting and annual financial statements of each assigned legal entity which will include and require a full understanding of the reported numbers (Flux & variance analysis) to prior periods and budget with detailed explanations.
Challenge and understand the reported numbers and information to ensure its accuracy and identify unusual trends and communicate findings to management. This will involve working closely with the wider finance team.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support system and process improvements for the month end closing cycle.
Work closely with the external audit team, the wider finance team and business on the coordination and completion of the annual financial statements.
Working with our partners/advisers (legal, payroll, tax etc.) to ensure full compliance with Payroll, Co Sec (Annual Returns etc.), tax (E.g. VAT, Payroll, CT returns etc.), laws and regulations etc. for each assigned legal entity
Prepare weekly cash reports for senior management - Compare to forecast, understand the variances, while highlighting any issues foreseen in cash projections/needs.
Manage the bank accounts, credit cards and facilities etc. required to support the company’s activities, in conjunction with FP&A and the wider business.
Work closely with FP&A in relation to the treasury strategy and take responsibility for the accounting/administration of the agreed strategy. Including the management of the risks associated with cash movements, receipts, payments etc. within the group.
Manage the banking authority matrix to ensure adequate segregation of duties (E.g. AP) and payment authorities (E.g. FC and/or CFO review)
Help lead the implementation of best practices including the standardization and improvement of processes, procedures, controls and systems to scale our business.
Participate in ad‐hoc projects as required
Nice to have
Third level degree & a recognized accounting qualification with at least 4/5+ years PQE Previous experience in a GL accountant role with good technical knowledge and experience of working with an ERP System – preferably NetSuite.
Proficiency in MS Office especially excel and word. Proven ability of working in a dynamic team, good interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong communicator and experience of working with and reporting to senior leadership.

An ability to work on own initiative while working to tight deadlines with a high attention to detail Experience of working in the Software or Technology industry (Preferably SaaS)
Experience of working on Growth Companies with annual Revenues of >$100m trading in multiple jurisdictions in multiple currencies with multiple legal entities Hands on experience of designing and implementing policies, procedures and systems
